Sink or Float: It’s About Specific Gravity
Gravity decides
Agarwood sinks when denser than water. More resin replaces wood, raising specific gravity—hence "sinks / half-sinks / floats" as a rough grade. Traditionally sinking means richer oil.
Don’t over-rely
But sinking only measures density, not necessarily better aroma. Some kyara is prized without chasing sink; oil-injection can fake it. Science summary; judge by scent and legal source.
