Six Projects Signed Across the Whole Industry Chain

On November 1, as a key session of the 2026 Chengmai International Economic and Trade Fair, the 'Chengmai Xiang · Xiang Shijie' agarwood industry investment promotion conference was held in Chengmai, Hainan. According to reports from People's Daily Hainan and the Hainan Provincial Government, six agarwood projects were signed on site, spanning financial credit, standardized cultivation, deep processing, warehousing, whole-chain development and wellness tourism. Officials noted that Hainan is improving agarwood standards, traceability and authentication systems while planning an international agarwood trading center.

'Four-Wheel Drive' for an Industry Model

Chengmai reported 36,000 mu of agarwood cultivation, and highlighted milestones including the world's first agarwood industry institute, China's first agarwood price index, and the province's first ancient agarwood tree park, supported by planting subsidies, a 2-billion-yuan credit line and comprehensive agarwood insurance. The county is pursuing scale, deep processing and tri-industry integration through policy, technology, the value chain and cultural tourism. An agarwood product exhibition and incense-ceremony experiences were also staged at the venue.
