Chengmai Agarwood Promotion Conference: Six Projects Signed

On November 1, the "Chengmai Fragrance World" agarwood industry investment promotion conference was held in Chengmai, Hainan, as a key session of the 2026 Chengmai International Economic and Trade Fair. The event gathered industry experts and leading agarwood enterprises, with six industry projects signed on-site spanning financial credit, standardized planting, deep processing, warehousing, full-chain development and wellness tourism.

Chengmai county reported 36,000 mu of agarwood planting area and pioneering achievements including the world's first agarwood industry academy, China's first agarwood price index and the province's first ancient agarwood tree park, backed by planting subsidies, a RMB 2 billion special credit line and comprehensive agarwood insurance. Hainan's forestry authority noted that the province is improving agarwood standards, traceability and authentication systems and planning an international agarwood trading center, transforming agarwood from a specialty incense product into a pillar industry for rural revitalization. The event also featured agarwood exhibitions and immersive incense ceremony experiences.
