According to the Sanya Municipal People's Government website, a press conference held in Haikou on October 15 announced that the 'Tianya Hongxiu · 2026 Sanya International Douxing Conference' will open from November 13 to 16 at the Sanya International Yacht Exhibition Center, releasing the agenda and exhibitor recruitment progress and hosting cross-sector cooperation signings. The conference centers on Hainan's three signature aromatic woods — agarwood (Aquilaria), Huanghuali (Dalbergia odorifera) and Jiangzhenxiang — combining international competition, curated exhibitions, high-level forums, cultural performances and industry matchmaking. It adopts an innovative 'day-and-night continuous exhibition' model: precision matchmaking with professional buyers by day and opening to high-end visitors at night, breaking the time limits of traditional trade shows and raising both brand exposure and commercial conversion. After the event, award-winning and high-quality exhibits will enter Sanya's 'Never-Ending Douxing Exhibition' for long-term sale, and exhibitors may apply for extensions with exclusive benefits.

Blue Book Launches as Incense Culture Goes Global

At the conference, Chen Zhenduo, head of the overseas preparatory organization, announced the formal establishment of the editorial board of the World Agarwood Industry Development Blue Book, which will set up secretariats in Hainan as well as the Middle East, India, Indonesia and Japan, and launch full-scale data collection. The event is hosted by the Hainan Agarwood Industry Federation and the Hainan Yazhou Culture Research Association, organized by the Sanya Agarwood Association, Hainan Xiangdu Group and others, with support from the Hainan Federation of Trade Unions, the Hainan Charity Federation and the Spice Industry and Digital Forestry Branch of the China Forestry and Environment Promotion Association. Cross-sector signings were completed, with the Hainan Health Management Association, Hainan Tourism Hotel Association, Yazhou Culture Research Association, Sanya Travel Agency Association and Sanya International Chamber of Commerce jointly promoting the integration of agarwood with wellness, hospitality, cultural tourism and international trade.
